Since 2018, I've been regularly sharing content of my adventures on the planet, experiences immersed in different cultures, sustainability tips, and of course, my favorite form of travel: long-distance hiking.
Protecting the environment of the Earth and gaining a deeper understanding of it have become intertwined in both my profession and my hobby.
With a background in sustainable communication, I have been researching the rhetoric of planetary health in an academic setting since September 2021 as a PhD student.
In addition to my teaching and research duties, I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with real people, organizations, and brands who work tirelessly towards a more sustainable Earth. They serve as daily inspiration as we strive towards a common goal.
In 2021, I was admitted to the Communication Science doctoral program at Corvinus University with both a state scholarship and a doctoral fellowship. Since then, I have been working full-time on my doctoral studies, research, and teaching. I participate in several projects in the field of sustainability and planetary health communication. I am currently in the second phase of the PhD program, which means I have completed my comprehensive exam and will submit my doctoral dissertation by August 2026.
Between January and June 2025, I spent several months in Alaska at the Institute of Social and Economic Research through a Fulbright scholarship in the United States. This research stay forms an integral part of my doctoral dissertation. In the 2024–2025 academic year, 16 of us were awarded the Fulbright Visiting Student Researcher grant from Hungary, and I was honored to be one of them — in fact, the first Hungarian ever to conduct research in the state of Alaska within the history of Fulbright Hungary.
Between early 2024 and the end of 2025, I spent 13 months in Iceland, Greenland, and Alaska. These field research periods provide the foundation for my doctoral dissertation, to be submitted in the summer of 2026. In this research, I explore how communication shapes people's relationship to planetary health in Circumpolar regions and what role messages play in encouraging individual and societal action.
In the autumn of 2024, I gave a talk on the TEDxLibertyBridgeWomen stage titled "We Don't Care About Polar Bears", about why it's so hard to take action for our planet, and why it's still essential. In the summer of 2025, I delivered a talk in English at TEDxAnchorage, which will be published within a few months. I also give other public, academic, and corporate talks, which I upload to my YouTube channel under the "Talks" playlist whenever possible.
In the summer of 2023, I completed a continuous 72-day journey along Hungary’s National Blue Circle (Kékkör). The journey inspired a documentary film titled 2550. The film was shown in Cinema City theatres nationwide, received several international recognitions, and is now available on the Hungarian platforms of HBO Max and Cinego. All details about the film can be found on its official subpage.
From autumn 2024 to early 2026, I serve as the ambassador for WWF Hungary’s Large carnivores Program. As part of the program, I carry out educational and community activities related to Hungary’s large carnivores – including producing educational content about bears, creating materials to prepare hikers, and offering media guidance for responsible communication about these species.
Sweden is known worldwide for its sustainability efforts, which is why I chose the two-year Sustainable Communication master’s program at Jönköping University. My main research focus was nonviolent environmental communication — advocating that non-threatening, respectful messages are more likely to inspire pro-environmental behaviour. Alongside my studies, I also served as the president of the student organisation Students for Sustainable Action.
In 2016, I spent a semester at the University of Helsinki with an Erasmus scholarship, where I studied mass communication and media. In 2019, I studied communication science, media, and the creative sector in English and French at Sciences Po Paris. In early 2024, I studied anthropology and research methods for one semester at the University of Iceland as part of my doctoral research exchange. I have also completed short courses at Oxford on nature-positive solutions and at the University of Amsterdam on the Anthropocene.
